Deena, I'm so happy about the excellent bill of health from your last post that I thinbk you and your hair look adorable. Soft, fuzzy and alive, oh my yes, a good combination :)
I didn't have to do chemo, but I did radiation. My hair changed after radiation. It's curlier now and I love it. My sister took chemo at 35 and her hair came back gray. She left it and loves it. You're looking good my friend!
Sweet bald Deena! Good for you and you are tooooooooooo cute with the fuzz! How wonderfully thick it will be when it grows out! I pray that God will walk you through that radiation and it will be a breeze!
Oh what a pleasant surprise to see your beautiful face when I popped over!! I CAN tell it's growing...how wonderful Deena....don't forget to put some sunblock on the top of your head...you don't need to get sunburnt!
Deena, You are gorgeous & inspiring darling! Our prayers & thoughts are with you as you begin your radiation. Take care pink princess warrior & we will do our part to love & support you on this continued journey. Hugs!!!
I had wondered how come I could have snow on my roof when my flashes were so meltingly hot. So you have a little snow yourself, tell that daughter of yours to get that color ready. I chose gray myself but to every woman the freedom of choice! You look HEALTHY! And that's all there is. Bless ya on this last clean up part of journey. What a gal! church
You look GREAT!!! A lady in my "pool group" lost all her hair after chemo. It was redish brown before and when it came back in it was all gray/white. She now looks just like "Paula Dean" and I love it!!! Hang in there....and be blessed, Joyce
My hair was white....!!! And I remember clearly the day I came home from church. My hair was a little thinker than yours, but not much and said...that is it...if they don't like it too bad, and off the wig came for good. I think the wigs bother you more when the hair starts coming in than when you have no hair. So, go with it girl. You will be surprised how quickly it fills in!
Deena, you look fabulously radiant. It's wonderful to see your zest and joy. I'll be praying for you in this next phase and thanking God He's helping you kick cancer's butt!
oh, Deena, you are just the most beautiful thing... I absolutely think every one of those white hairs standing up are so precious! And your smile makes our hearts sing ! Tell H.U.N.K. he is sooooo lucky! (aren't ya gonna LOVE telling him that !!) xo bj

I just read about your FABULOUS news over at Bittersweet's place. The joy is showing in your gorgeous smile! That is just awesome and amazing and wonderful! xo Lynn
I have applied to the Radiation Therapy program at UT School of Health Sciences at MD Anderson in Houston and will hear by Wednesday as to whether I have been offered a position there...long story short...I am struggling with my physics course (5 weeks this summer and last of the pre) and I was feeling like I want to quit-requisites). I failed my first exam and I have my 2nd one tomorrow morning and I am feeling like I am sinking. God guided me to your site and you start your RT tomorrow! Thank you for reminding me WHY I am doing this. it is going to be hard work to get there, but, OH when I do I will be able to meet angels such as yourself and for that I will work as hard as I need to! You are such a blessing, even though we are just "bloggy friends" I am grateful for you!
It's ME again...DD was asking about you so I brought her over to show her your hair....she smiled and said you look like a baby Bird!! Hugs, Robin and Kailei
Deena, Your hair looks so soft. It is going to be soooo pretty! I wonder if it will come back curly. That happens sometimes.
You look great. I am so happy for you. The radiation will go quickly and you will be even stronger and more amazing than you are now. How you managed to come through that chemo as you did is beyond me. Blessings on you, special lady! Becky K.
I see your little fuzzies and I think you look wonderful! I am still so absolutely thrilled about your good news! I really hope and pray that the raditation treatment will go just as well.
First I want to say to Lahdeedah...those aren't girlz babe...can't ya see, those are Women!! :-)!! Miss ya! Next I want to drag my soapbox over and tell ya'll this. I had seen on the news that Heather Locklear has put herself into a medical facility for depression. God Bless her and keep her. If it isn't obvious to all women everywhere by now that thin and famous and botox do not make serenity...well, pay more attention. When I had seen Oprah few years back spend a million$ or so on her 50th birthday party and then need 2 more parties, then yet another diet that has failed...well, all the money or fame in the world cannot get you everything...neither can ambition. And if all those authors and speakers on "positive thinking" she features haven't worked, maybe it's time to think about something else. We have more than enough examples all around us daily of the lack of peace and insecurity going on in our world in a big way. I am praying that those who can smile while growing white fuzz, those who reach out to others while their own stitches are not yet healed, those who work jobs and offer kindness under pressure, those who with round women hips make their way over to serve their loved ones a meal or help with homework, those who are young and yearn to be mothers, all of us, REAL WOMEN...everyone of us STAND THE GAP and let everyone know what life really is...strength in hardship, hope in adversity, faith without proof, prayer when others doubt us, love for ourselves and eachother, forgiveness always for who we are, who we've been, how we tried, and for the very courage to get up another morning or evening willing to give it a go once more cause we know the right thing to do. I love you. church
Deena, you are absolutely gorgeous!God's beauty is just shining through! You are such an inspiration!I'll keep you in my prayers. Thanks so much for the kind comments on my blog:). Hugs, Mandy

Hi- I'm not sure if I commented on one of your other blogs, so forgive if I'm repeating- we found out that hubby has matastisized non- small cell lung cancer- aug 2006- He then had an appt. w/ a not very nice oncologist who didn't even read his scans, and said, 'and you also have a tumor in the brain' - this was operated on w/in less than a week of finding out- It went well, then whole brain radiation, then chemo , was told he was in remission, but they still wanted chest radiation. No maintenance meds... it came back in his rt. adrenal gland. He's in a clinical trial at NIH, and shortly thereafter started the natural supplement called PROTOCEL. Go to web nd(as in natural dr. ) and Wellness and Renewal sell it. My sister-in-law's friend's husband has lung cancer, and hasn't done any chemo or radiation- stage 4b , like my hubby's- in 18 months he had 50% decrease in his tumor without drugs... My husband has had a 60% decrease in his nodule so far- We'll see further next week- But since he's been taking the Protocel, his hair is GROWING back, his 30+ years of athlete's foot is going away... We are very hopeful. My husband is an athlete. They are finding that exercise benefits cancer- I know it's tough w/the meds and rad- The PRotocel has CURED people- sister-in-laws friend's friend's 80 yr. old grandfather(6 months to live-they wanted to do surgery, chemo, and rad.)-he is totally cancer free! Get Tanya Harter-Pierce's book-Outsmart Your Cancer- Alternatives that work(Amazon has for like $13.77) and read the 4 chapters on Protocel and take right away!!! Also gets rid of other things-many people take it for non-cancer issues. It starves the 12% oxigenated cancer cells- Healthy cells have 100% oxigenation so they 're ok- can be done w/chemo.Better alone. There are 2 formulas- #23 and #50- They tell you which one is best- They're very nice to talk to. Many people have been cured by it-
I just started Chemo two weeks ago. My second treatment is this coming Friday. You seem to be doing pretty good. I want to look through your past post and learn more from you. We have the same type of cancer but mine was only in 12 of my lymph nodes. I am taking AC right now until the end of July. I then will be on Taxol for three months. 38 radiation treatment after that.
You are so beautiful and your smile pierces my heart! Your hair IS growing! My last chemo was in November and my hair is now 3" long!!! It came back whiter and really curly ~ I love it! My prayers are with you as you start your radiation. Bless your heart. Emily. XOXOXO

You have a beautiful face and a lovely smile, I pray that as you go through this journey that you will always know the Lord carries you through in the palm of his hands, just snuggle in them ever so closely. Aloha Lorie
