Garden Tour Event** BlogLand

I've been tossing this idea around all week
I want to host an online Garden Walk
hoping lots of bloggers will join.

I'd like each participants site to have the option
of clicking
to fund mammograms
(at the left on my blog)

I'd also like votes for the favorite garden
& the winning Garden gets a hand made journal from
my hands, with a lovely garden theme

My dream is to SOMEDAY make this a local
event here in the Peoria Area with nearby gardens participating
with the fee for
admissions going to the Komen Foundation.

I'm tossing this out for you to get ready for now.
I'm hoping a virtual garden tour date 6/15/2008
so start taking pictures we'll have a variety of
blooms and greens to share.
Birds, butterflies, toads, bugs, wildlife and garden art
are desired too!

Add your blogspot to the Mr Linky below NOW
and add the banner to the side bar
Tell your BBFF too.

***You will add yourself to MR LINkie TOUR again after you post your tour
pictures on June 15th.
It will need the address to that POST.
I'll be first on and show you how on June 15th***

I'd love to see
as many as we can join in.

As I work on getting it all ready.

Leave a comment on this blog , if you'll join me!! PLEASE!!
you can even post pics of a neighbors garden if they
don't blog.

the sun is out
God gave me a focus
feeling a bit better each day
chemo is over for GOOD I pray
the idea of a "Nestle in the Garden ,Tour for the Cure"
the promise each new day brings
roses in bloom
Share your joys with us
Please pray for all who suffer & are lost

Orange Mint & Honey Gift Away

"What would Nina Simone do? That’s the question 25-year-old Shay Dixon asks of her de facto spiritual adviser, the late great High Priestess of Soul, when she finds herself depressed, evicted from her apartment, and about to flunk out of grad school.

The answer - move back home to live with her recovering alcoholic mother Nona - leads Shay back to Denver where she is shocked to discover a new Nona, sober, healthy, raising a 3-year-old, and growing a lush, healing garden.

Though reconciliation seems a hard proposition for Shay, something unmistakable takes root inside her, waiting to blossom like the flowers in Nona's garden.

Soon Shay finds herself facing her first real romantic relationship and exciting possibilities. But when a crisis hits, even the wise words and soulful melodies of Nina Simone may not be enough for solace. Shay begins to realize that, like orange mint and honey, life tastes better when bitter is followed by sweet."

I've read it, my BFF Marcia read it
then bought HER OWN copy.

Tis gently used & I am giving
it away ..Just comment here
what you are reading OR what you last read
before May 15th..
& I'll post the winner May 16th

smiles & hugs..Deena

She Shall Be Praised

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth no the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Give her the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

- Proverbs 31: 10, 25-31

Happy Mother's Day to ALL the women out there
