Look I Finally Succeeded

I finally succeeded in capturing an imagine of our resident
Pileated Woodpecker. Seldom seen in our area & only in the
Singing Woods.

It was too overcast for a picture, but the video worked fine.

I have actually prayed for this for a few years
In April we will have lived here 5 years.

  1. Beautiful bird. It sounds like you like the birds as well as we do. I worry about them in this cold weather. We stack up fallen tree branches at the end of fall and don't burn it so they will have someplace to go. This year we picked up some pine tree branches along the road to add to it. Makes a huge pile. Plus we feed & water them of course. Praying for good results on your tests. Love ya Jennifer

  3. These are wonderful birds. Great you got the video. We have a pair that hang around here and they let out their very distive call and I always thank God that I can hear them and see them when they show themselves. Peace

  6. Hi Deena....

Oh, I bet you were thrilled.....it's awesome. I'm going to show my little grandson.....he will LOVE this. He has two books that play the "voices" of each bird. He is totally absorbed when he's in the "bird world"... :-)

    Have a wonderful week.

    Hugs,
    Spencer

  8. Thats so great! I'm not a bird watcher but I loved seeing that, what a pretty bird. Isn't it funny how it seems to be the smaller things, not material, that make us happy. I'm so glad for you!
