Love * Life & Caring

My sweet pink friend Joanna of Moss Hill Studios sent me this package of love. I love her work and was delighted to have a journal from her. She also sent along some of her great graphic sheets, a book for my "Dreaming with Deena" book from the artist of ZNE . The sweet HEAL ornament is so inspiring. I love it all!!

I'm going today to pick out my daddy's headstone. I had a mostly sleepless night & my body hurts more for the lack of rest. I prayed for strength to get through the day as it's about a 5 hour drive there & back.
My daughter and her boys (my adorable grandsons above) will be coming to stay with us for a month or so. Life has been hard for her for so long, I just pray things get easier soon. It breaks my heart to see her so sad & feeling helpless.

  1. I'm thinking that those two adorable bathtub faces are exactly what will help you renew your strength- both physically and spiritually. Let's pray for that.

  2. I am sorry your feeling this way, it makes me sad but I believe God allows us to get tired physically so we have to slow down and concentrate on him and be with him, I do my best talking to him when I tired. I remember helping my mom pick my dad's head stone, we wanted the BEST, the people showed us some cheaper ones, and I said "So this is the ford style? well we want a cadillic style"
I love the banner above thepicture of your grandbabies...I thought...this would look cool as a tatto =) Thinking about you and praying ALWAYS. Annette

  3. What a sweet package you received :) I'll be praying for your family and hope you enjoy a wonderful, meaningful time together. Grace, strength & peace to you this day, Deena!

Blessings to you, my friend :)

  4. You have too many DEEP "things" going on here. But, I think the fact that you are watching a daughter in pain is much worse than about anything. I pray for all the things you are having to deal with because they are BIG. But you? You are one tough mama.

  5. praying for you to get strength Deena . Precious little boys !
    Have a blessed day .

  6. I bet you will all be good for each other.

May God give you strength for your day!

    Becky K.

  7. Dear Deena, Hope these pretty papers help you feel up a little bit. I checked out her site and WOW! Sorry you have to do such a sad thing when you're feeling so bad, too. God bless you today and always, Diane

  8. what a wonderful thing! and those faces are adorable!

  9. Deena..you are ever in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you can get through this most difficult time by leaning on your faith in God. Your Grandsons are so cute...love the bathtub photo. I will keep your DD in my prayers as well.

love the Goodies that your Sweet Friend sent to you...very thoughtful

  10. I pray for strength for you as you travel the 5 hours and deal with the purchase of a headstone for your dad...
I know how hard it is for you to see your daughter having such difficulties...but being with her sweet momma will strengthen her and having the little ones around will sparkle you up...

I hope some of the pain from the radiation is going away...
    Prayers and {{Hugs}}

  11. Congrats on being through with Chemo and Radiation. I visit but do not always leave messages. We had a joint stone for Mom and Dad and all they had to do was add his date of death when the time came. Hope the task is not to hard on your emotions or physcial stength.
Maybe you soon to be guest will be just what your spirt needs. Peace be with you.

  12. What cute kids......

and I love all the things you got ...I adore those little dresses...

  13. You always have so much going on, but you must remember to rest.
Those two sweet faces peeking out of the tub will keep you hopping!
Enjoy the winding down days of summer ahead.
    xo Susan

  14. thinking of you, dear deena...and praying you will be given strength for this journey.....wonderful to be able to help your daughter and her children...and i agree....these young little bundles of love can only bring you joy....and you will get to see life through their little sweet innocent eyes! :)
i know how hard it is to watch our children going through hard times...believe me...i have been there and we are still there with one daughter.....but it is wonderful for her to have her family....and our Faith in God.
    hugs and prayers,

  15. Dear-heart, lovin' you and praying for you and your daughter. Those grandkids are beauty-ful!

  20. Dear Sweet Deena, Blessings and prayers are coming your way. I will also pray for your dd. I do hope you rest along the way, as a 5 hour drive is hard on me, so I can just imagine how tired you will get. You have so much on your plate right now, but the strength that you show reflects your love of God. I thank Him for watching over you. Blessings, along with love and hugs, Pat

  21. How terrible of me to forget about those adorable boys with the bubbles. I hope they bring you much joy and love.

  22. Hope you had strength and energy for that very long drive, Deena. I have to stop every 2 hours, and I get really tired from a trip like that. Hope you get a good night's sleep afterwards.

That is lovely that your daughter and her adorable boys will be staying with you for a while. I hope things get better for her.

  32. awww, what a cute picture, Deena!

You have a wonderful day, my dear! :)

  33. Dear Jesus, touch Deena today. Let her feel your presence, Grace and Strength. I pray for her daughter. I pray that she will open her heart to you so that you may take the sadness away and replace it with joy. Father, I pray that they may know your Love and rest in You. Oh, Lord, touch them, deliver them from the pain, restore, heal, fill their lives with the joy of knowing you and your mighty Love. In Jesus' name and for Your glory, Amem.

Deena, I just found your blog and you touched my heart. I offer God this prayer for you knowing that He is able to do above what we ask or think. BE blessed today, :)

  34. What a sad trip ahead you have. I hope it goes good for you under the circumstances. Your grandsons are sooo soooo cute! I am sorry that your daughter is having it rough. I pray that she will see a sliver lining soon.

    love, Sharon

  35. I hope the trip goes well Deena - it will be sad of course.
The little boys are so sweet. I'm sorry your daughter is having to struggle - she is lucky to have you at her side, I just hope she cares for you too.

  36. Sometimes life just doesn't seem fair and then we have to ask God to hold our hands and help us get through each day. It isn't always easy, but just know that he will provide strength to those who help themselves. I hope all gets better. Your grandsons are just precious!!
