My sweet pink friend Joanna of Moss Hill Studios sent me this package of love. I love her work and was delighted to have a journal from her. She also sent along some of her great graphic sheets, a book for my "Dreaming with Deena" book from the artist of ZNE . The sweet HEAL ornament is so inspiring. I love it all!!
I'm going today to pick out my daddy's headstone. I had a mostly sleepless night & my body hurts more for the lack of rest. I prayed for strength to get through the day as it's about a 5 hour drive there & back.
My daughter and her boys (my adorable grandsons above) will be coming to stay with us for a month or so. Life has been hard for her for so long, I just pray things get easier soon. It breaks my heart to see her so sad & feeling helpless.
I'm thinking that those two adorable bathtub faces are exactly what will help you renew your strength- both physically and spiritually. Let's pray for that.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry your feeling this way, it makes me sad but I believe God allows us to get tired physically so we have to slow down and concentrate on him and be with him, I do my best talking to him when I tired. I remember helping my mom pick my dad's head stone, we wanted the BEST, the people showed us some cheaper ones, and I said "So this is the ford style? well we want a cadillic style"
ReplyDeleteI love the banner above thepicture of your grandbabies...I thought...this would look cool as a tatto =) Thinking about you and praying ALWAYS. Annette
What a sweet package you received :) I'll be praying for your family and hope you enjoy a wonderful, meaningful time together. Grace, strength & peace to you this day, Deena!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, my friend :)

You have too many DEEP "things" going on here. But, I think the fact that you are watching a daughter in pain is much worse than about anything. I pray for all the things you are having to deal with because they are BIG. But you? You are one tough mama.
ReplyDeletepraying for you to get strength Deena . Precious little boys !
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day .
I bet you will all be good for each other.
ReplyDeleteMay God give you strength for your day!

I pray for strength for you as you travel the 5 hours and deal with the purchase of a headstone for your dad...
ReplyDeleteI know how hard it is for you to see your daughter having such difficulties...but being with her sweet momma will strengthen her and having the little ones around will sparkle you up...
I hope some of the pain from the radiation is going away...

Congrats on being through with Chemo and Radiation. I visit but do not always leave messages. We had a joint stone for Mom and Dad and all they had to do was add his date of death when the time came. Hope the task is not to hard on your emotions or physcial stength.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you soon to be guest will be just what your spirt needs. Peace be with you.
What cute kids......
ReplyDeleteand I love all the things you got ...I adore those little dresses...

Dear Sweet Deena, Blessings and prayers are coming your way. I will also pray for your dd. I do hope you rest along the way, as a 5 hour drive is hard on me, so I can just imagine how tired you will get. You have so much on your plate right now, but the strength that you show reflects your love of God. I thank Him for watching over you. Blessings, along with love and hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteHow terrible of me to forget about those adorable boys with the bubbles. I hope they bring you much joy and love.
ReplyDeleteHope you had strength and energy for that very long drive, Deena. I have to stop every 2 hours, and I get really tired from a trip like that. Hope you get a good night's sleep afterwards.
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely that your daughter and her adorable boys will be staying with you for a while. I hope things get better for her.
Much love and *light* to you both --

I'm sorry your daughter struggles. How grateful she must be for your help. I've often said that my son and I would've been homeless if not for my parents. Your home will be filled with their lovely laughter. Enjoy them!
Are you blessed, or what? Great gifts from one of the best! I can't wait to see them in person.

ReplyDeleteawww, what a cute picture, Deena!
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful day, my dear! :)
Dear Jesus, touch Deena today. Let her feel your presence, Grace and Strength. I pray for her daughter. I pray that she will open her heart to you so that you may take the sadness away and replace it with joy. Father, I pray that they may know your Love and rest in You. Oh, Lord, touch them, deliver them from the pain, restore, heal, fill their lives with the joy of knowing you and your mighty Love. In Jesus' name and for Your glory, Amem.
ReplyDeleteDeena, I just found your blog and you touched my heart. I offer God this prayer for you knowing that He is able to do above what we ask or think. BE blessed today, :)

What a sad trip ahead you have. I hope it goes good for you under the circumstances. Your grandsons are sooo soooo cute! I am sorry that your daughter is having it rough. I pray that she will see a sliver lining soon.

I hope the trip goes well Deena - it will be sad of course.
ReplyDeleteThe little boys are so sweet. I'm sorry your daughter is having to struggle - she is lucky to have you at her side, I just hope she cares for you too.
Sometimes life just doesn't seem fair and then we have to ask God to hold our hands and help us get through each day. It isn't always easy, but just know that he will provide strength to those who help themselves. I hope all gets better. Your grandsons are just precious!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Becky
