Today's trip was good. Driving felt reasonably comfortable.
Dr Mammolito liked the poster print.
She said I was
coming along well, and perhaps
I was doing a bit too much, thus the discomfort.
She thought my progress on how far I could
lift my right arm was good. I tell ya , with 39
lymph nodes taken out, tis hard to work that
arm too much.
She told me
"I found your pretty in pink blog"
She googled herself to see what was out there, cuz
you never know..and found my blog. At least I
wrote good things!! How cool is that..???
She's so fun..I really like her ..as a WONDERFUL doctor
and an awesome woman.
Tomorrow Rich and I venture to the Oncologist. It's my
first visit so he wants to go and I want him to.
I'm sure the chemo game plan will be discussed and
the path mapped out so, the journey continues.
Thanks for caring and visiting
and keeping me happy.
Lots of Love
deena

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Deena,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got a wonderful report from Dr. Denise. "PRAISE GOD"!!!! I'm glad the driving wasn't too much for you. Yes, you should be taking it easy and not trying to overdo yourself. I do hope the appointment with the Oncologist goes well today also. I'm so glad your DH is wanting to go with you and that he is very supportive of you. I'm continuing to pray for you. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Deena,
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy the report was good fro Dr. Denise... I think she is right on you doing too much... it seemed to me that you were doing an awful lot for a little lady who had just had the extensive surgery that you had had... but I know you were only trying to do as much as possible so you would feel well again!!
slow down dear... and let our prayers work for you... God is listening..
I am so glad that Rich is going with you to your first oncologist appt...
I am anxious to hear what the treatment plan is!!
{{Hugs}}}
Love,
Mimi
Thoughts with you as you begin on the path to chemo-land...glad Rich went too...extra ears makes all the difference. It's like learning a whole new language and you'll be a "pro" with it before you know it!!
ReplyDeleteAh, Lovely Card!

Hi Deena, I'm glad you had a good report from your doc. About the lymph nodes and working your arm: be careful and don't let it go too long if you think you're not progressing as you should. I had lymph nodes removed and went to a physical therapist several weeks (too long!) after surgery. She was able to help me regain most of my range of motion, but had I gone earlier perhaps I could have avoided some discomfort and frustration. Everyone's different, I know, so I don't mean to alarm you. I just wanted to let you know that if you think you should be further along with your arm movement then don't hesitate to go to a PT. They work wonders!
ReplyDeleteMy surgery was not at the teaching hospital in town, but it been, I would have seen a physical therapist before my surgery, while I was in the hospital, and after. That's their standard protocol. Pretty cool! The hospital I went to doesn't work that way, nor does my surgeon (I asked him about it). Oh well, I still like him and am so grateful for his help! Take care, Katie
Hi Dena...sounds like a good report! I hope you are resting easily and more comfortably today...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Robin
