So hold me Jesus, 'cause I'm shaking like a leaf
You have been my King of Glory
won't you be my Prince of Peace?
I love this song by Rich Mullins..
I heard it this morning & it so touched me.
Rich left this world years ago (a car crash) to live with our Father , but
his music remains for us .
Isn't his face filled with the love of Jesus?
Dale A sent this link to Rich Mullins video singing this
thank you Dale!!
Thank you for your inspirational words, and those words by Rich Mullens...(author of "Awesome God" too right?)
ReplyDeleteI am going to write those words down!
May you experience the peace of Jesus.
Keeping your family in prayer,
God bless!!!!

Carol

Joyously,

and God uses inspirational words of someone who has already gone to be with him... to comfort one who is suffering and somewhat afraid on earth now...What a wonderful God we have that gives us the comfort we need just when we need it...
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you and Rich..I know Rich has a lot on his plate right now...
..and I have been thinking of your father-in-law this week... how is he doing? Is he feeling at home in the assisted living?..
I am praying for all of you
God loves you and so do I,
Mimi
Deena, I've not heard of Rich but will give him a listen. Thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteHere for my morning shift. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. I'll bring some sunshine on a tray of clouds with a few melodic birds in tow. Blessings to you and your loved ones. :-)
Deena,

ReplyDeleteNever heard of Mr. Mullins but I am not much of a listener of Christian music unless it is ELVIS
I like listening to classical and then I will switch back to the wild seventy and listen to The Stones. Being a country girl I also love country music mostly the male singer such as George Strait.
I have a book I read over and over and thought I would share with you and you might have read it before but here goes "Praying through Life's Problems featuring Stormie OMartian.
Hair day for Mimi so I must run and pick her up.
Peace
Fear is a paralyzing thing. I deal with it too. A very wise friend told me that when I feel fear come on to just remember that it is "NOT OF GOD"......to just call on God to give you peace. It works too! I hope so much that Jesus continues to hold you in His arms and give you just what you need! Praying for you in Texas.
ReplyDeletei haven't heard of him either, deena.....but will seek him out now..music is so much a necessary part of my world...does so much for me.....so happy it was part of your morning...

ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing that He does hold us? Even when we can't feel it, He is closer than the next breath we take.
ReplyDeleteDeena,
ReplyDeleteYour faith inspires me, my friend. The song is beautiful. Jesus is holding you as you move through your journey. Keep your eyes heavenward and on Him. I continue to pray for you, my dear friend.

Thinking of you and just wanted to say hello.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful baskets of flowers,I see some of my favorites.
Love your precious hankies. I collect hankies and at one time I was going to make a quilt or frame several of them. I just haven't decided what I want to do. I look forward to seeing what you do.
Take care...you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Linda
Deena, you're in my thoughts and prayers so very much. I'm always looking at my Bloglines to see your posts....what a beautiful, inspiring song. Do you realize how inspiring YOU are? I thank you for that....praying you well, xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing song... the power of music is healing all in it's self. The things that make your heart happy are the things that can heal you...so find all the songs that uplift you and play them everyday. Toodles...
ReplyDeleteI love that song......keep playing GOOOOOD worship music like that. It will help lift your spirits and keep you in peace!
ReplyDeleteI remembered when Rich Mullins was killed, I was sad that we lost such a fine musical artist like him. He lived VERY humbly and gave most of his money away. I like to hear his music come on the radio and it still gets quite a bit of airplay.
Don't forget his song....."Awesome GOD" song....those words are such a great reminder as well.
I'm praying for you!
Be blessed,
Joyce
...he does look peaceful....the look of someone who is right with God...not fearful...just knows....just knows....
ReplyDeletelove,
Becky
