thank you, my dear friend for the honor....first one i have ever been gifted.....and the best one i could ever imagine being honored with!
February 28, 2008 10:01 AM
You have been a busy lady today with all those links........ You are an inspiration to me........ Every time I want to grumble about my day to day with my full plate the Lord just brings you to my remembrance and I repent...... Your name is ever before Him and He has such a gentle way of reminding me that He is watching..............
ReplyDeleteLuke 10:19-20 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.............. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven! yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hugs x 2 today..........
i wish i could wrap you in this sunshine, deena.....if ever you have a need to feel that heat deep down.....you have a standing invitation to visit!
ReplyDeletelove you,
kimberly
I LOVE MY AWARD.....it's the fun part of friendship to appreciate each other so ! THANKS .... I am having a lazy day too. It's cold where you are and sunny and warm here.....yet I feel we are neighbors. Want to come over for coffee and sweet rolls? Love to you today and everyday.
ReplyDeleteJust a short note from a fellow midwesterner........ Where did you find your beautiful wig? Did you or your daughter style and hi lite it?? That is going to look so nice on you.I have a saying that I recite to myself every morning....... "REMEMBER, LORD, NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME TODAY THAT YOU AND I CAN'T HANDLE" Thought I would share it with you.
ReplyDeleteDearest Deena,
ReplyDeleteYour hats are the bomb and your wig is perfect also! It does look just like your own hair.
Enjoy your day today and know that tomorrow will be a day filled with prayers from me for you. Love to you my friend.

Dear Deena, will be praying for you that your chemo goes even more easily for you this time than last, and that all cancer cells are killed by this treatment. My joy today was going to class, and my son telling me that he wants to become a better person and be a real father to Ashton. You look beautiful as usual! God Bless and Keep you!
ReplyDeleteMaridon
Ahhhhhhh! I can't leave you alone for a minute! Can I?! I turn my back for 48 hrs and then blog on and look what you have gone and done??!! Went and took control of your own fate!! Well, hairs to you girl!! Ain't you just the best kind of tough cookie somethin?! Ok, what I think you need to get is one of those biker do rags, leather would be good, pink leather? Yeah, for a start. Then a nasty black mean one for the "cancer has really p'd me off days"...black leather...really!
ReplyDeleteNaawwwww don't go telling me you want Easter Bonnets. You are sooooo
waaaaaaayyyyyy past that girl! You have attained Warrior Status!
Now watcha gonna "do" if you find out it wasn't the chemo, that it was the "mange" instead?! ;-)
When I was young (oh no, another story) my mother had forced me into years of ballet...her dream for herself lost in her youth. For serious ballet in NY long long hair was a requirement. I hated ballet. I did try to get my mother's dream though. I finally got into the "big leagues" in NYC and was on my way and fell in mid leap and wrecked my knee majorly.
Surgery was done and in the hospital I was so happy! 15 and no more ballet! Yeah! I asked if a nurse would cut my hair, she sent up the hospital barber! And I told him what I wanted and he shaved me bald. I wish you could of seen my mother's face when she walked into that hospital room! Aaaaahhh come on, she never did have a sense of humor! A couple months later I was trying to keep it about 2 inches long but shaving the back without a mirror with a razor I took a whole section down bare. I was in Catholic Private Girls School and my girlfriend in her desk behind me says..."what the heck did you "do"?!" So I borrowed her eyebrow pencil and with a hand mirror drew in hair, strands of hair...no one ever noticed again.
So...morale of the story is...if you're not up to tattoing your whole head with some of your birds and vines, you can use my eyebrow pencil anytime.
You are beyond words girl, you're so fine! Thanks for the award...another thing that you brought into my life that I've never had before. "This much" and then some, back at ya. Friday again already? Hey Mickey! You're so fine.....c
Deena: My daughter Kristi called tonight to tell us the distressing news that our two year old granddaughter, Little Eva, has lung cancer. She is scheduled for surgery on Monday. Please pray for her, and if you have a prayer network, please add Little Eva's name. We are flying to Dallas tomorrow to be with Kristi. All I can say at this point is...I TRUST JESUS. No matter what happens.
ReplyDeleteYou are so rockin hot, and so dang sweet :) Thank you, Deena!
ReplyDeleteLots of love to you,
Jill
Hi Deena, that's a lovely award! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Deena,
ReplyDelete"CONGRATULATION'S" on a very well and beautiful Award. You do deserve every Award you receive. "CONGRATULATION'S" on the You Are A Blessing Award as well. You really deserve this Award. You are such a blessing to me each time I visit you. I had a good joy yesterday. The girls were out of School and I had taken a nap and when I woke up, they had washed up some dishes I had in the sink. I just thought that was the sweetest thing for them to for me. Just wanted to let you know that I am here to hold you hand today while you have your Chemo. I will be praying for you as I always do. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Continue to Bless You and Yours.
Love, Hugs, & Prayers,
Karen H.
Remember the greatest award bestowed upon you is the one you carry within.Hold your head up high as you walk down that corridor to treatment today and repeat, 'I am woman hear me roar...'
