Going to bed & if I feel well enough,I'll answer emails.

Love to you, enjoy the day
Chemo is eating my cancer PRAISE GOD
Deena
Deena, try to rest. I know the days will seem long, but one day you will wake up and say, hmmm, I feel better today. That tired, weak feeling is really a bummer. When we are so used to going and doing when we want to, it is difficult to HAVE to stay put. I am sending you a blogger hug! Hang on. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are tired but I am so happy for you that you were able to atart the chemo and only got sick once. I know everything will get better for you. Thinking of you all the time. Traci
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you know well enough to rest when you need it - this is very important at this time Deena.
ReplyDeleteI am SO familiar with "Look Good, Feel Better..." as I became a member of our local group following my cancer surgery, radiation and chemo. I helped coordinate the meetings and arranged for many of the beauticians who would give up several hours of their non-working Mondays to come share their secrets. They were angels - showing our group how to deal with physical changes to skin and hair, and bringing all those fabulous samples from prominent cosmetic companies to give us. Fun was always part of the meeting - tying scarves to make fab headwear, laughing and joking as we 'applied eyes and perked up our complexions' to make us look brighter and feel happier. The healthy snacks were yummy too!
The cameraderie was amazing as we all had issues with our physical changes, and although these were not the main worry, having fun and looking and feeling good about one's outer self was a positive way to heal the inner self and fight those darned rogue cells!!!
When you do feel able, and you think this kind of group will be fun for you, please try to go. You will make friends and share stories which I'm sure will be uplifting. At this point in time you must not stay home and feel sorry for yourself - which I feel you would never do anyway from reading your thoughts - being around people and sharing your battle, and it is a battle, helps. You must win the battle Deena - and I'm praying very hard each and every day for you.
Special hugs today as you rest.
Love, Mary.
A pajama day sounds like a comfy thing to do ..... rest well my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, That poem will always touch my heart. I have a picture in my granny's picture on my blog. In the album called "Sweet Memories" that some of that poem is written over.
ReplyDeleteIt's a picture of my sweet husband and me. Before he won his race that year on Oct 15, 2001. Thanks for visiting my blog this morning. I am just now getting it started. I will try to put a link back to yours. I do ask others to pray for you. Deena, get some rest and be safe in Jesus! I will hold my shield of faith up for you.
Love to you!
a sister in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Judy
Remember Pack Man? Just picture chemo as one of those little guys chomping away at the big bad cancer.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you're tired. There is a war going on inside your body and cancer is going to lose! :)

ReplyDeleteNo wonder you're tired. There is a war going on inside your body and cancer is going to lose! :)
There is a time for everything, and today's a time to rest.
ReplyDeleteI mentioned you on my blog today!
Dear Deena, Rest and rest some more. I've learned that when we get tired, it's our body's way of telling us we need to sit or lie down because there's something it needs to take care of inside. And I've dealt with health issues long enough to know I need to listen to what my body's telling me. Let the chemo do it's work as you do yours ... REST.
ReplyDeleteDeena,
ReplyDeleteBe sure to rest when you need to. Yes, the chemo is eating your cancer. Praise God! I'm sorry that you're feeling so tired. I know it is hard to just lay around but you will feel better for it. You need to take care of yourself and no one else. I pray for you, Rich and Nichole daily.
I hope you can go to the Look Good, Feel Better group another day. :-)
Blessings and love,
Mary
Rest today, there will be much to do tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteHugs and prayers to you~
Joni
Yes, the meds must destroy it and you must keep the rest of you strong. And rest is the best thing for your body, + fluids. Take care of yourself!!
ReplyDeleteImportant to rest.....
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, best wishes.
there will be another day for you to go to the Look Good Feel Good meeting...so you rest, sleep, and recoup from your Friday treatment today...just stay in your "Pink Jammies" all day today...
ReplyDeletelet the chemo do it's thing today...

Deena, so much truth in that poem. It's testament to your strength that it's taken the chemo 3+ days to keep you from doing what you wanted to do. Hope you feel better tomorrow. Thoughts are with you. Holler if you need anything, xoxo
ReplyDeletetake good care of YOU, deena....one day at a time...
ReplyDeletealways, thoughts and prayers your way,
kimberly
I have something for you over on my blog..... when you are able to be out and around....... I pray today that the Lord God will re-new your strength and you will mount up as wings as Eagles.... that He will watch over you with the passion of a lover and that the healing balm of Gilead will wash over you and give you rest.........

Get some rest-that's all that really helps!!
ReplyDelete"Look Good, Feel Better" is awesome. I recommend it some other time! I still use some of the makeup from it!
Prayers and love,
Rach
I am praying for you right now. Your body needs rest and you are doing the right thing by staying in bed. I will pray that you will feel God's presence and not begin to feel down. It's natural for that to happen when having to be in bed. I'm sorry you are tired. Again, the cancer is getting eaten up by the chemo, and your body must rest to get strong.
ReplyDelete~Idea~ The 2nd-5th seasons of The Andy Griffith Show can lift your spirits. If there is a way for you to borrow them or rent them, it might brighten your day. I put them on when I'm sick or when I feel just a bit down, and they make me smile. I love Aunt Bea. We got our seasons of the program from Fred Meyer.
God bless you, and thank you for stopping by my blog. Hugs and prayers, Kathi
Deena, I too am going to bed to rest, as I have learned that it's the best thing for healing body and mind. I hope you get a good night's rest. Sending you lots of hugs and prayers. Love Ya, Pat
ReplyDeleteHi Deena,
ReplyDeleteI hope you get plenty of rest today and that you will feel much better tomorrow.

Winter is the perfect time to stay home and rest. Take care my friend.

Hi Deena just droped in to tell you I am praying for you.Just rest and and let your body heal.I always heard that laughter would help you body heal because it make your brain release endorphines .This was actually a medical experiment where the patients watched old I Love Lucy reruns.I think that what it boils down to that keeping in good spirits is the most important thing.I know this is easier said than done but with the love of your family and your faith I know you will make it through this.
ReplyDeleteI am always praying for you.
Love Brenda:}
May you have the sweetest of dreams as you lay your head upon the pillow. Much love, Susan P.
ReplyDeleteDeena, I hope you had a good day of rest! YeaH! Chemo is eating the cancer cells!
ReplyDeleteI remember your poem on the walls of the cancer center when I was taking chemo. I love that poem!
I think you were smiling when you were typing this morning because I can see your smile through your words even though you were tired. Rest up, dear friend.
Deena, I flew to Phoenix in order to pray from a different location. I will leave no stone unturned.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you Deena - the rest will do you good!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely poem!
