  1. Thanks for sharing these Deena. I think more people need to see what this can do to us and hopefully get across to readers to check their breasts and get a mammogram. So many people think that because it doesn't run in the family that it can't happen to them. How wrong they are because it can happen to anyone.
I did a bit on my blog today and so hopefully we can get through to even just one person then it will be worth showing these pictures.
    Hugs.

  12. Deena, I have been following you since 2007 and have grown in so many ways because of your courage to share, not a candy coated version of yourself, but for real. We have never met in person, but the power of your true self sharing has made me form a real attachment to you and I really care about you, your life, and what happens to you. I do hope we will meet this side of heaven. Love, hugs, and prayers. Maridon

  17. Deena, you are a brave and beautiful warrior and if I ever have to go through what you are, all I have to do is come to your blog for encouragement. Everyone needs to see what it does to your body and should be happy that it takes a brave soul to open yourself up to that. I applaud you for your bravery and sweetness. Love and hugs, Pat

  18. Don't sweat it honey. We all hear from jerks once in awhile. I recently got a very hypocrital long summation comment from a woman who professes all over her blog to be so "Christian" and what can you do? We just have to accept that not everyone who says they are nice are actually Nice! But we can remove their comment or our whole post! True friends love you and accept you and find inspiration from you. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder and he "don't beholdin your boobies anyway"!

  20. I remember that you wrote of pain and problems after having your reconstruction. I believe you said your surgeon did a different type than usually is performed. Please share - would you do the reconstructive surgery if you had it to do over again? Maybe a different type? Not at all? Thank you for bravely sharing your story!
