I love hummingbirds, Nothing says spring is here like hummingbirds. I have yet to see any here by me. I cannot wait to see them. It is like seeing a old friend you have not seen in a while. Thank you for sharing this. Yoy always in my thoughts and prayers, have a most wonderful day. God Bless you,Julie
We have had these little guys for a few weeks here. To me they are the most amazing tiny creatures. We have to keep our garage doors closed as the little critter will fly in and I have to rescue them. The last bird I rescued was a Downey woodpecker. Peace
The hummers are beautiful. We don't see them here, but my aunt has some that comes back every year to her rural property. She feeds them and always makes sure to buy fuschias in hanging baskets. They seem to like them really well.
I'm so glad you have such a beautiful spot to watch wildlife and birds. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Mary
I guess I better haul out the old hummingbird feeder...I've never seen any around, but their cheap to feed, so I have no excuse, for I may just get a desperate one show up...LOL....they are really fun to watch....my sister in law lives by a little lake, in a wooded area in Michigan, and they are everywhere...she even has a feeder that is suctioned onto her window and they fly up and eat while you can watch....such little creatures....hope your day is full of sunshine Deena.....judy
My husband and I were sitting on the back porch yesterday and a hummingbird flew by. I hadn't made any juice yet, but he will have some today. I have been hearing the little wrens too. Don't you just love Spring???
I can't wait for our hummers-it is an event we mark on the calendar every year-when certain birds come back. I was just looking at hummer feeders today-I want to buy a glass one that is also pretty to look at as well as good for them to drink from. Thinking of you, ~Debra
Deena, we actually have some that nest here in the south and never leave. I've tried looking up in the trees to see their nests, but have only seen one last year and I'm too old to climb a tree. Wonderful pictures. Hope you are doing well. Love and hugs, Pat
Dear Deena, I am so happy to see you are doing so well right now! I have missed checking on you! I have been terrible about keeping up with my friends, they are all mad at me, so, I think I am going to update my website, give my closest friends access and they can check on me from there....is that lazy? I don't want to be any more "tech savvy" than I am right now, which is not very...no twitter for me...check out my post from today if you have time...I would also like to send you a series of pics featuring baby hummingbirds,if you would like...God bless you Deena!Maridon
Dear Deena, I have so missed checking on you! I am glad you are doing so well right now. Love your new birthday chair and your prize quilt, how lucky! God bless you Deena.
Hummies are my favorite birds. My feeder is ready and waiting--we have Annas hummingbirds here in our area year-round, and I hadn't had any visiting our feeders for a couple of months, so I was concerned; then my husband saw one at our feeder yesterday, so I'm hoping it comes today--they are so much fun to watch--yours is beautiful! My parents used to have lots of Ruby-throats visit their feeders in Southern California when I was growing up. Hummies were a very familiar sight on our patio. Enjoy yours, and have a great week, Deena!
We have a few of these guys come and check us out and then quickly move on. I think I may get a bird feeder for the hummingbirds. I loved the pictures.
Thank you for the card. Really busy for many months drawing/painting. Gallery shows thru out year, Kansas show next. Started a Marketing Committee for this region with group of others who have become friends. New town square going in and new website up for town soon due to the Committee! So Frocks has no smocks! :-) Just very large paintings is all I do! Having a great time creating day and night. Going back to bed while the next layer drys. You're always in my prayers. Running/walking huh? Ya think more stress is necessary?! Okay...whatever you say. Good luck! Nancy/Church
OOHh how cute is he/she!! e humingbirds!! I never feed them here...so afraid the kitty cat will get them. Gus..won't eat a mouse or catch one...but he will a birdie!!
