  7. Praying with you today as Chemo #5 gets under way...
still remembering Sandra as she walks through her trials...

    now for American Idol...

    I do like David Archuleta,

I don't like David Cook (He always looks too unkempt and dirty)

but I loved Brooke...I thought she had talent...not only did she sing but she could play the instruments...I thought Simon was way too hard on her...
I guess my next choices will be either Syesha or David Archuleta...

    May the best one win!!!
    Love ya,
    Mimi

  12. You're in the home stretch! I'm praying that the chemo will ELIMINATE all cancer cells and that a year from now, this will all be a distant memory.

Go David Cook! Isn't he GREAT! My dh and I just love him. He's so much better than the rest.

    Take care

  21. I always watch American Idol. I was sorry to see Brooke leave, but I agree she wasn't as talented as some of the others. I like David Cook, but David A. is my favorite, and I really hope he wins.

Hope you are having a good day.

  22. Hey Mickey! You in that chemo chair? Are you there?!! It has taken days to be able to get your comment section to come up!! I am rural and dial up is ssssslllooow, ya know! Even so, I'm thinking bout you today, sending prayers your way. My husband and I were prayin on ya last night (he's out there driving) and he was saying how he had seen a program on tv at some truck stop and a person was telling how they had been Stage 4 and describing all the horrific details of dire diagnosis, but they were there to say...It all just went away! The doctors etc were stumped. But there they were in testimony to it, praising God for seeing them through it. Dale said, "That's what will happen for Deena." He's a special husband and a mighty comfort. From his lips to God's ears!! It's sunny and 65 today and I'm on my way out the door for errands. Blogged my blogs in advance for Mother's Daze that for some of us can be sooooo difficult.
While I'm here I'm givin a shout out to all of you out there who needed a caring loving Mom but didn't get one. You are loved from Above. And to all women who were mothers and lost children, still born, miscarried, crib death, ran away, kidnapped or in wars...Happy Mother's Day to all of you all-ways! And for those young women and older too, who could not for whatever reason fulfill their one wish to become mothers...God blesses you and keeps you. So girl while you are in that chemo chair doin what you do, just know they are right, you are the inspiration for soooo many others. You're the catalyst that lets God's light shine in a brighter way to renew through you.
    We love you.
Saints&Haints and Theresa Mary Rose too! but most of all, your friend. XO

  23. YOU are beautiful.... outside and inside... Love to see you smiling!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
    (Isaiah 40:31)

  26. Deena: You do look good there doll. Such a peaceful radiant face. I'm glad you're almost done with the treatments. My prayers for your friend, also!

Now on to American Idol. Well, it's turning into a teeny bopper popularity contest. Once Brooke made a mistake, she lost her confidence which is sad. She's a lovely girl and she does have talent, but she let stage fright get the better of her. Michael Johns should not have been kicked off early. Jason is a nice kid but has minimal talent, but lots of little girls voting for him. David Archuletta's voice has not matured yet and needs to work on it for a few years. Sayesha will be great for broadway but I don't think she can compete vote-wise with the guys. David Cook is the one that should win. If it's down to David A. and Jason, hubby and I are not watching any more. Whew.

    Now go get some rest!

  30. Hi Deena,
I don't watch American Idol but do love watching Dancing with the Stars. I can't believe you have one more chemo to go....hip hip hooray, that will definitely be a day to celebrate. We will wear party hats and blow horns and everything. Have a wonderful weekend sweetie.

  32. Last time I was here, the first picture of you did not load so I did not see it. You look amazingly good Deena. It is hard to believe what is going on on the inside of your body. I pray that you will win the battle going on.

  36. Hi Deena,

I am sold on David Cooke too ;) What a talented young man he is. I so want him to win. I'm with you, Brooke was a sweetie but it was time.

Hugs to you my friend, you are always in my thoughts and prayers.

  37. Hi, I'm a lurker; a pretty frequent reader. I agree with you about Brooke - and about Jason Castro. They are sweet people but not strong enough to be Idol winners. I too am all for David Cook (though hated to see Michael Johns, my other favorite, leave).

I predict the two Davids for the last two contestants. Even if David A. wins, David C. will have a great career.

  38. Deena, You are very brave. You are in my prayers, and I will pray for Sandra too. Kathi
