  2. It took ages for Mat's hair to grow after total brain radiation - and when it came back it wasn't so blonde (this was before male pattern baldness took hold!) I think yours could come back PINK! XXX

  9. Deena, I have a head full of hair and I don't look as beautiful as you do---all the time. Wish I had a magic potion to send, but bald is beautiful and you are both beautiful inside and out as others have said. It'll be back before you know it.Big bear hugs and lots of love, Pat

  10. Sweet Deena - you are serene and beautiful in this image. To think we curse our hair when we have it - all those 'bad hair days' - and are never happy whether curly or straight. I didn't lose my hair when on chemo altho' I ordered a wig. I never returned to pick it up even though it was paid for!!

Wear pretty hats this Winter - perhaps you'll have enough grow back for a new Spring "do".

    Love and hugs for Christmas.

  11. I'm just glad to see you still here for another Christmas! Posting and taking your own photo once again...just glad to see you are able. I like how your photo and the colors in it match your Bluebird above you in your Blog Header. That color blue sweater looks so good with the color of your skin! Isn't this the first photo you've left a smile off your face? No matter...it will come back. Seeing you here brought a smile to my face. n/Church

  12. Your ears are not big silly! I just hope that the radiation is doing the same thing to the cancer cells. I think you look great Deena. I pray that you have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy 2009!

Your Christmas decorations below are just beautiful!

    Hugs, Sharon

  13. Seeing that so sad look on your face makes me feel sad, too. Dig around and find that wonderful brilliant smile of yours, I know it's there not too far away. There, that's better. Now forget about the hair, it isn't all that important, not when we know you're getting better and that we want you to be happy and your usual joyful self. Not when every precious minutes counts and life is what it's all about. In the words of Tasha Tudor, "Take Joy". God bless, Diane (Sorry this is so long)

Don't worry about the hair just stick one of those head bands with the bow on like they do baby girls with no hair and you will be just as sweet as they.
Merry Christmas to the mammogram encourager who probably helped saved my life.

  26. You look beautiful and very intelligent to me! Your comment reminded me of one day I wore my glasses to school and one of the little students took my hand and looked at me very seriously and said, "Mrs. ^&%$^^ you look very smart with your glasses with on!" Out of the mouths of babes.

Your hair isn't what makes you so precious anyway!

  27. Yeah, and where is your beautiful smile in this picture or was this your sexy look for Hubby Hunk?

  28. I know you want hair sweet beautiful friend. I don't blame you at all. But... keep in mind the reason you don't is because the chemo and radiation is doing it's work making that mean old cancer die. Once it's finished and out of your system, your hair will return. Buy yourself a pretty pink hat, put on some pretty pink lipstick and celebrate life.

    You are loved.
    Hugs!

  29. Dear Miss Deena,

Myself having been bald, I understand your anxiousness! It's exciting to looking forward to those tiny little sprouts. Have you given any thought as to how you think it might grow back? My hair came back curly. I'd never had curly hair that I didn't pay for. Hair gel soon became my friend once it started growing back in. I spiked it.... straight up! You'll have so much fun... just like a kid. Experimenting. I remember putting mascara on my new eyelashes too. It made me cry... and then I had to wash it all off and start over. LOL! The only thing that I didn't like about my hair coming back was that I was almost completely gray. I just turned 46, and I've been coloring my hair since I was in my 20's. I actually could have already been almost completely gray, but I never knew because I just kept coloring it over.

Anyhow Honey, you just hang in there... give yourself some time. Have fun with the peach fuzz... and one way to look at it.... think of all the money you've saved on shampoo! :)

    Hugs Sista,
    Penny Sue

  31. At least you look good bald. Not all of us could pull that off as well as you do.

Soon, you will be complaining about how much time you have to spend on your hair and no time for cuts.

So glad you are doing so well.

  34. Deena,

You have NOT been naughty, my friend. You have been ill. There is a big difference. Your hair WILL come back - maybe slower than you would like, but what a blessing it will be when you finally see it peeking through.

You are BEAUTIFUL, girl. Don't look so sad. Our Lord is going to bless you more than you know.

Love your heart. Now, a big smile, my friend.

    Love and hugs,
    Mary

My ears are really really little and my hubby tells me when we are teasing eachother "Well, LEAST my ears didn't quit growing when I was 3!" -- so ... we get what we're born with don't we. LOL Mine look really funny being so small; but oh well!
Well, I just want you to know I think you're awesome inside n out, and I'm sending you a big bear hug.

You? Naughty? I don't believe it!!! hee hee...

I'm sure in His secret knowledge of all things, there is a reason for your hair not growing back in yet. Someone somewhere must need an inspiration that only He can deliver through only YOU!!!

And ditto to all of the above... YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!
