Here's the Procedure I had

I've posted before, tis fairly new,
developed at Emory University in Atlanta, GA
& taught to doctors by MY DR. JONES

He was

"Selected to perform 25th anniversary demonstration
of the TRAM flap @ Atlanta Breast Symposium, January
2005.

I am amazed that I was so fortunate to
have him as my surgeon..I thank God for the
wonderful hands He led me to!!

At your discretion. Here are pictures. Read the captions too

..hopefully this procedure will be offered more and more.
It followed my mastectomy..making my surgery
about 7 hours long. My breast is ALL me..no implants
and the only follow up surgery will be a nipple and
color tattoo for the area..

I'll post more pics soon..and let you know
as healing is even more since 12/31
PS
do NOT tell my husband..he'd about flip out if
he knew I let others see..that means you too
my dear BIL!!

love in Him

  6. Deena!!!
You are so brave!1 And helpful--to show your body--so that another might have questions answered==I had a breast reduction a couple of years ago-and freely show my before and after(in person) I actually showed my nurse the other day while i was in the hospital--she was asking questions cause she knew my medical history.
Stay brave and strong and most important--STAY POSITIVE and keep sharing the love!

  7. Amazing. It's so great that they were able to use your own skin and not implants. Now you have to get used to the new you. How are you adjusting?

Do you miss the old belly button? It took me 2 months for the swelling to go down from gall bladder surgery and I imagine this is much worse.

I'll keep praying for your healing. Love you!

  17. Deena you have amazed me again by your unbelievable courage to share with us these pictures. I agree, it looks so much different than I had invisioned, your surgeon did an amazing job. I noticed also that your belly button looks like a little heart. How special that is. My love to you my friend, you have given me such knowledge if I should ever have to go through such a surgery. If that should ever come to pass, I will be forever grateful that I met you during your journey and was able to walk with you and Christ through it. You truly are an inspiration to me and all who come here to spend time with you. I am very grateful that God crossed our paths, I have learned so much since I started visiting with you here on your blog. Thank You from the bottom of my heart for being such an amazing woman.
    God Bless You My Friend,
    Kimmie
