  1. God created us with the instinct to live and I feel that he expects us to fight for life with all the energy we have for as long as we have the strength and energy to do so...

I think when He is ready for us to give up on life he will let us know He is ready for us in heaven...
so until that time...I'm with you!
fight like you have never fought before to over come this hurdle!!
I love all the pictures of your family that you have shared with us...Is Mercedes at home with you or is she away at school?
You have a beautiful family...and it is well worth the fight to stay with them a little longer!!
    Love and Prayers,

  2. Hello Deena! I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this, but reading your blog I can tell that you are an amazing woman and have the strength, resolve and support to get through this. You are surrounded by God's love and he has given you some awesome friends to help you through this journey. Know that I will be praying for you!

I wanted to share with you that my sister just finished her chemotherapy (this is her second time battling BC) and all is well! You can beat this too!

Sending love and prayers your way...Susan

  3. Good Morning Deena,

  5. Dearest Deena, I just loved seeing all the "blessings" in your life! You have such a wonderful family and you have every reason to fight. Keep on, my dear friend, with your courageous battle! And I also wanted to tell you not to worry one second about commenting on our blogs, we will do all the typing~ all you have to do is read:o) Much love, Susan P.

  6. I am with you on this in prayer...
    you fight girl......
then leave the rest...your family deserves the best you have ......
    and it keeps you going...

btw...having TWO giveaways on my blog...IF you are up to typing

  7. I have lymphadema in my left arm. I wear a sleeve and it really helps. They are a bit hot in the summer but that is a small thing to deal with. It is also in my left breast in comes and goes in my hand so I also have a sleeve for my hand that use as needed. The sleeve keeps the swelling down and helps with the pain. I also went to physical therapy at first and that helped with it. I think of you often and you are in my prayers. Traci

  8. Hi Deena...popping in to see you...I love your photo.

  9. Dearest Deena,

I am sorry that you have lymphedema. What a bummer that it effects one of your true loves...blogging. I will pray that that will subside. Don't worry about not leaving comments. I will miss your sweet comments, but totally understand and will just keep checking in on you as I do several times a day.

I love the pictures of your family. Your daughters are so beautiful! You are truly blessed with all of your wonderful loved ones all around you.

I pray for complete healing for you.

    Love, Sharon

  10. Post when you can and when you feel up to it. For the arm (I'm right handed too so it's always on my mind), keep using it so you have range of motion in the arm, but go slowly. Work up to what you can feel comfortable with. And if it aches? Put your arm up and rub gently underneath to keep the fluid moving. I'm into my 3rd year since my axillary and have had no issues with lymphedema so it can be managed. Slowly!!!

  11. FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT....Denna, God didn't "build" us to give up. HE gave us a mind of our own to know when to fight, HE guides us in HOW to fight and I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!!
    Hang on, friend....

  12. Deena,

You go girl! Fight for all you're worth. I agree with BJ that God gave us the instincts to fight for all we are worth to live for our loved ones. And, like BJ, I believe in miracles. I've received them.

Love you, my friend. Prayers speeding heavenward.

  13. Did someone mention to you about the lymphedema sleeves? they help with the swelling...

God is good with us to Timothy it says, we have fought the good fight.. I remind my patients of this in Hospice and I tell them do not stop fighting until you feel the inner peace that only God gives...

    you are in my prayers...

  14. I read about you on Karen H.'s page. I want you to know that I am praying for you and please hang in there. I will stop back by your page soon!

  15. I came over from Bittersweet Punkin, Robin's blog.

My prayer for you is that as you go through this journey you continue to sense the Lord's peace and His arms around you holding you up and loving you all the way!

I have been reading back a little ways through your posts and am thrilled at your spunk and can see the love of God in you. Your family rocks too!!!

Ps No need to comment at my place...just let that antibiotic do its job and take care of your arm. One of my dearest friends survived a very invasive breast cancer and has chronic lymphodema. She is a transcriptionist so it is aggravated daily...poor dear. She, like you, has an awesome attitude and I think that was so key in her survival.

  16. Deena what a lovely photo of your fantasy home.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
    Thinking of you.

  17. It is so good to see your beautiful face in those beautiful photos Deena.

I've had health issues for most of my 60 years and have learned that worrying about them doesn't help anything. I do the best I can to take care of myself, see my doctors as they recommend, have blood work monthly, take my medications regularly and leave the outcome with the Lord. It's all His anyway.

He means for us to enjoy Him and the life He gives to the fullest and when He says it's time, He'll take us Home to live with Him forever. What more could we ask for?

May God richly bless you and yours.

  18. Hi sweet Deena - I am so sorry I missed you this morning :(

  19. lurker popping in to say don't give up! my mom was a stage 4..she is fine today nearly 4 years later...:) she suffers from lymphoedemia in her right arm tho, but therapy and the compression sleeve really do help her, so just keep it under control:) sending lots of prayers your way as you continue your battle wo live for yourself and your loving family. You will WIN!

  20. (((((((((Deena))))))))) just stopping in to give you big hugs.

  21. Deena,
My sister's, sister is law has "lymphoedemia"..of course she's had the "BC" battle and is doing quite well.

She recently mentioned there is a recipe that you can make for "FRESH juice" for "lymphoedemia" in a juicer. That's worth checking into and the "sleeve" those help women I hear.
Loved the photos of your family and the "dream home!" HA! Fun!

    Keep dreaming and keep fighting.

    Why not fight?

Especially since you have an "army" standing with you.
    That's a good thing.

    Your not alone.
Don't worry about writing and leaving comments.
We know where you are at!
    Hang in there....

  22. Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

I dont know about you but this sounds like God is wanting us to do warfare..... these are weapons that He has provided....... sooooooooo

    Wield that Sword!!!!

  23. p.s.. dont worry about any comments on my blog... you take care of yourself.. We will come to you..........

  24. All my prayers and thoughts my friend are with you today and everyday.
God has blessed us both and I am proud to know you!!!
We are all here to help you in your fight, DON'T GIVE UP!!!
    Love and Hugs, Amy
(PS...don't worry about posting, just read and enjoy...EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS and it's a beautiful thing)

  25. Please don't worry about commenting on our blogs. Just rest and get better so you can start the chemo.

I admire your faith in God's will. This says to me that you're at peace and I believe that will help you get well.

    Hugs and prayers.

  26. Hi Deena ~ How are you doing today? I hope that you are feeling better, but don't type!!! You are so pretty next to your favorite tree!! Love birches, too! Please rest and get your strength back. I have to tell you that your strength and spirit are sooooo uplifting and positive! This is a hard time for all of you and us humans are selfish when it comes to our loved ones. You will get better, especially since you have the right frame of mind.

  27. Deena....Never give up!
You fight this with every ounce of fight you have.
    I am by your side...

  28. Dear Deena,

Hope that the lymphedema gets beeter soon, Deena. No fun to have your arm (or any part of your body for that matter) hurt.

  29. You are a blessing and an inspiration and a joy to all who know you.
Prayers will be with can fight this. God wants you to fight. I so love all of those who say he will let you know when the time to surrender is here and it is not now!
Life is a gift and worth fighting for. My next door neighbor is the breast cancer specialist for this area and she has seen what happens to those who give up. Those who fight CAN beat this! You go girl!!

    Love and hugs,

  30. Hey Deena, you don't have to post on everyone's blog. We know your situation. Take care of yourself and leave the posting to us.
