PS ..to BBC who posted..if God wants you with Him, why fight??
I must fight Bill..for my family, friends, loved ones, husband

and if going to be with Him is His plan..AMEN, I'll be
ready for that also.   Love in Christ, DEENA

  1. God created us with the instinct to live and I feel that he expects us to fight for life with all the energy we have for as long as we have the strength and energy to do so...

I think when He is ready for us to give up on life he will let us know He is ready for us in heaven...
so until that time...I'm with you!
fight like you have never fought before to over come this hurdle!!
I love all the pictures of your family that you have shared with us...Is Mercedes at home with you or is she away at school?
You have a beautiful family...and it is well worth the fight to stay with them a little longer!!
    Love and Prayers,
    Mimi

  7. I have lymphadema in my left arm. I wear a sleeve and it really helps. They are a bit hot in the summer but that is a small thing to deal with. It is also in my left breast in comes and goes in my hand so I also have a sleeve for my hand that use as needed. The sleeve keeps the swelling down and helps with the pain. I also went to physical therapy at first and that helped with it. I think of you often and you are in my prayers. Traci

  9. Dearest Deena,

I am sorry that you have lymphedema. What a bummer that it effects one of your true loves...blogging. I will pray that that will subside. Don't worry about not leaving comments. I will miss your sweet comments, but totally understand and will just keep checking in on you as I do several times a day.

I love the pictures of your family. Your daughters are so beautiful! You are truly blessed with all of your wonderful loved ones all around you.

I pray for complete healing for you.

    Love, Sharon

  10. Post when you can and when you feel up to it. For the arm (I'm right handed too so it's always on my mind), keep using it so you have range of motion in the arm, but go slowly. Work up to what you can feel comfortable with. And if it aches? Put your arm up and rub gently underneath to keep the fluid moving. I'm into my 3rd year since my axillary and have had no issues with lymphedema so it can be managed. Slowly!!!

  11. FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT....Denna, God didn't "build" us to give up. HE gave us a mind of our own to know when to fight, HE guides us in HOW to fight and I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!!
    Hang on, friend....

  12. Deena,

You go girl! Fight for all you're worth. I agree with BJ that God gave us the instincts to fight for all we are worth to live for our loved ones. And, like BJ, I believe in miracles. I've received them.

Love you, my friend. Prayers speeding heavenward.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  13. Did someone mention to you about the lymphedema sleeves? they help with the swelling...

God is good with us to fight..in Timothy it says, we have fought the good fight.. I remind my patients of this in Hospice and I tell them do not stop fighting until you feel the inner peace that only God gives...

    you are in my prayers...

  15. I came over from Bittersweet Punkin, Robin's blog.

My prayer for you is that as you go through this journey you continue to sense the Lord's peace and His arms around you holding you up and loving you all the way!

I have been reading back a little ways through your posts and am thrilled at your spunk and can see the love of God in you. Your family rocks too!!!

    Blessings!

    Becky K.

Ps No need to comment at my place...just let that antibiotic do its job and take care of your arm. One of my dearest friends survived a very invasive breast cancer and has chronic lymphodema. She is a transcriptionist so it is aggravated daily...poor dear. She, like you, has an awesome attitude and I think that was so key in her survival.

  17. It is so good to see your beautiful face in those beautiful photos Deena.

I've had health issues for most of my 60 years and have learned that worrying about them doesn't help anything. I do the best I can to take care of myself, see my doctors as they recommend, have blood work monthly, take my medications regularly and leave the outcome with the Lord. It's all His anyway.

He means for us to enjoy Him and the life He gives to the fullest and when He says it's time, He'll take us Home to live with Him forever. What more could we ask for?

May God richly bless you and yours.

  21. Deena,
My sister's, sister is law has "lymphoedemia"..of course she's had the "BC" battle and is doing quite well.

She recently mentioned there is a recipe that you can make for "FRESH juice" for "lymphoedemia" in a juicer. That's worth checking into and the "sleeve" those help women I hear.
Loved the photos of your family and the "dream home!" HA! Fun!

    Keep dreaming and keep fighting.

    Why not fight?

Especially since you have an "army" standing with you.
    That's a good thing.

    Your not alone.
Don't worry about writing and leaving comments.
We know where you are at!
    Hang in there....

  22. Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

I dont know about you but this sounds like God is wanting us to do warfare..... these are weapons that He has provided....... sooooooooo

    Wield that Sword!!!!

  26. Hi Deena ~ How are you doing today? I hope that you are feeling better, but don't type!!! You are so pretty next to your favorite tree!! Love birches, too! Please rest and get your strength back. I have to tell you that your strength and spirit are sooooo uplifting and positive! This is a hard time for all of you and us humans are selfish when it comes to our loved ones. You will get better, especially since you have the right frame of mind.

  28. Dear Deena,

Hope that the lymphedema gets beeter soon, Deena. No fun to have your arm (or any part of your body for that matter) hurt.

  29. You are a blessing and an inspiration and a joy to all who know you.
Prayers will be with you...you can fight this. God wants you to fight. I so love all of those who say he will let you know when the time to surrender is here and it is not now!
Life is a gift and worth fighting for. My next door neighbor is the breast cancer specialist for this area and she has seen what happens to those who give up. Those who fight CAN beat this! You go girl!!

    Love and hugs,
    Sue
