A True Gift of Contentment

Last night, all snug in our bed, just as I was drifting off to sleep
beside my dear husband..I said aloud "Thank you God"
..hubby right at the edge of sleep....said "what?"
I told him I was just thanking God...what a wonderful way to drift off.
We have three more days here in our empty nest to enjoy each other.
I will savor each moment .  I've been up since about 2.15AM as
our sweet dog came bursting in the door and awoke us.  I tried till 4AM to
get back to sleep, then just gave it up . I came downstairs, in my ROBE!!, ate
a small Dove chocolate & visited some of my fave blogs.

It's sleeting here still, so I guess I'll stayed nestled inside ..
and enjoy the bliss of comfort, freedom & peace at the edge

fondly, Deena

  1. You should have ventured in your robe into the Singing Woods. You would have heard the gentle whisper of the wind as it blew amongst the naked trees. The soft pitter patter of the sleet as it fell to the earth reflecting like little diamonds by the brightness of the moon. And you would have realized that this is Heaven on Earth and it surrounds and protects you.Take that place of contentment with you as you set forth on this new journey. xo Susan

  3. The bird houses are beautiful and I am glad you had a wonderful morning even though the dog got you up. Maggie gets me up each morning and today she put her black nose up in my face at 4:45. I patted her on the head and said "go back to bed Maggie and I was thankful that she did.
Enjoy each day. love and prayers

  5. Sweet Deena,

What a beautiful home you have on the edge of the Singing Wood. Your birdhouses are wonderful.

Bask in the peacefulness of your home as you embark on your journey. Take all of the visuals that create your haven along with you to bring you peace while you are recuperating.

You and your family are in my prayers, always.

    Blessings and love,
    Mary

  7. Dear Deena,

What a precious gift ... for you to have the still, quiet and PEACEFULNESS of your beautiful home these few days before your surgery. I'm so thankful you have this time ... just to relax and rest.

    God bless you, Deena ...

  10. Deena,

You have been on my mind. I am so thankful you have peace. Your home is so pretty and the snow is so gorgeous.

I recieved your sweet gift in the mail! The little deer are so tiny and cute! Thank you very, very much. I want to blog about them, but I have been so busy. I will show pictures of them soon.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am leaving tomorrow for LA so I am not sure I will be able to write again before your surgery, but I will be praying.

God bless you and your husband. We pray for a miracle that they get it all and you will be cancer free and live to be 100!

    Love Sharon
